Tips on how to curb appetite loss after amping up workout levels?

I've started working out again and I've noticed that when I start working out more I tend to lose my appetite & will eat maybe one full meal a day with a latte or few snacks in between. Obviously this results in losing weight quicker, which is great.. but it's not something I do on purpose and it's not sustainable because once I start working out less it's like my appetite goes back into override & I gain weight just as easily. It's a pattern I've noticed & this time around I really want to handle this the right way so I can maintain a healthy consistent weight loss plan. My bmi at the moment is at 28.8 and my waist to hip ratio is at 0.75.. my goal is to get my bmi to less than 25, which means I have to lose about 20- 25lbs.
