Why is it that fake alcohol causes blindness while fake illegal synthetic drugs do not cause blindness?

İllegal synthetlc drugs are street made so they are also fake, they are made out of bad chemicals but they dont cause blindness.

But fake alcohol (methanol) causes blindness

Why so?

Ecstasy pills are all fake, street made. But you won't get blind using those fake pills.

It looks like hardy anything else rather methanol causes blindness when taking orally, or smoked.

It's how the unique chemistry of each affects the bodies own chemistry. Just as carbon monoxide poisoning is going to affect people completely differently in turn and so on.

I don't know, but some of my Southern-born elder relatives drank fake alcohol ("moonshine"), and none went blind so far as I know.

Blindness is just a possible side effect of methanol. I mean, that's all I know about it
