Which of these are the most under-diagnosed in your world?

Before you go off "reminding me of" things I didn't list, I asked *which of these*. I don't care if you think "hoof and mouth disease" should be there, it's not part of the test.

Gender dysphoria

Autism

Obesity

Stupidity

I think in America it'd have to be Obesity.
1:) I don't think many people actually suffer from Gender Dysphoria. I think it's a function of the madness of crowds.
2.) Autism is certainly rising in popularity, but I think it's over-diagnosed. The criterion are quite broad and can be somewhat subjective. Interestingly the alleged infatuation with gender dysphoria is highly comorbid with autism.
3.) Obesity is strikingly high in the US. Allegedly 70% of the US population is overweight or obese. People in the US frequently don't know they're obese. They look at my 600lb life and think that's what obese means. They don't know that ~140lbs is overweight for the average woman and ~175 for the average man.
4.) Stupidity. There's no criterion for this one, but I oscillate between thinking that the average American is smarter than they think and that the average American is stupider than they think. I suppose one of the benefits of being stupid is that you're too stupid to know it.

Gender Dysphoria as I think a lot of people pretend they don't have it and keep managing by themselves mostly guys who want to be women no doubt.

Autism... is something everyone claims to have and those who they don't also have it. Way to many get diagnosed with it, including myself lol.
They seem to just diagnose anyone who's not a typical social extrovert here as such. Can't complain though gets me disability money shrugs so yeah if anyone ask's I am Autistic not just weird.

Definitely autism it took so long till I was diagnosed. I wish I could have expressed myself better when I was young but I couldn't. Even though it's often to push meds onto kids the higher awareness of adhd and autism in the U. S. would have been nice. I wasn't exposed to mental health in general or autism in specific at all growing up. I didn't know that this possibility even existed I just thought there's something different about me and I tried my best to adapt and handle my difficulties.

Over here in Uk Autism is just a thing everyone has it's like you can get diagnosed just by asking for it. Safe to say I had a totally different experience, also grew up later I suppose so now everyone knows what it is.

@Kaneki05 Everyone has it wut? So everyone could just say they have autism and apply for disability? I actually get my entire cost of living paid by the government because I'm disabled. So there needs to be some kind of criteria to say who is admissable and who isn't. I do intend to work part time at some point (right now I do an upaid activity just to have structure in my days) but I have enough to do atm so I'm glad to have this security. It took 2.5 years for them to judge if I was admissable but now that I got it, it's a blessing :)

Over here we get Pip (Personal independence payment) for it, I am poor not working and so are my friends but they started asking me how on earth was I affording some expensive stuff.
I told them go say your autistic and you'll get Pip. One of them did and sure enough he got it.

The test they do is not very through here. They give some tests that anyone could just pretend to be bad at but even if you are I don't see how that proves one has autism.
But at least for my case even if Autism wasn't given as a diagnosis to me I'd still have two other issues that are noted down as part of my reason for getting Pip and would need it anyway.

It's already near impossible to honestly answer this question for someone involved in clinical. So, unless you consider that all GaG members are suddenly psychiatrists, psychologists and statisticians... What the hell? Lol

Or it's just a joke, then stupidity is the only poll answer making any sense. I will trust that.

Anno 2024 stupidity is definitely the most under rated mental health issue.
Its really mindblowing how stupid some people are these days.
It's not even their fault to be honest, if you teach a child dumb shit instead the truth or if you teach children they can be any gender they wanne be or feel then society is going down fastt

It's CLEARLY stupidity. We WAY OVER-diagnose gender dysphoria and autism. We probably get obesity about right since there's an objective standard--we just then go on to excuse it and spout nonsense about how it's no biggie. But yeah--stupidity is WAY underdiagnosed. Probably because we give too much of a shit about "self esteem."

the only one of these that you don't need a doctor to diagnose is obesity. cause litterally anyone with a healthy pair of eyes can diagnose that. gender dysphoria and autism are massively over diagnosed and stupidity isn't a diagnosis.

Subtle Autism is a very difficult clinical diagnosis, and it takes a lot of knowledge and experience on the part of the diagnostician.
