Have you tried acupuncture?

I’ve never tried it as the needles seem so intimidating, but I’ve heard good results from the therapy. Have you tried it? What was it like?

I have a phobia of needles so I’ve never had it done.


But my old boss hurt his back and tried acupuncture as a last resort after pain meds, massage and a visit to the chiropractor didn’t help.


He claimed he felt like a new man and would be going back to have it done again.

Hailing from the BDSM world, I've seen it done, along with other types of needle play (a lot of pretty stuff, not gory really) and fire cupping and massages with hot stones (it's bizarre to those who don't attend such places how. little. hanky panky actually happens)... I've never exper acupuncture, but i have seen it do wonders for people, especially with chronic pain. There's a lot to be said for eastern medicine

I've done it even though I have a phobia of needles, and it's meh. You have to go to someone who's really good at it though.

what they call acupuncture at doctors' (at least in Germany) and real acupuncture are two different things...

I haven't tried it yet... but if I needed to, I would find a real Chinese specialist who uses real, very long needles and knows how to do it painlessly...
