Can surgery repair a gunshot to the face say somebody survives?

Yes and no, they can repair it but certain injuries can only be fixed to a certain point, parts like the jaw has a unique structure and it can be reconstructed in some areas but others are much harder to replicate and will most likely not look identical to how it was, also things like the lips, if someone gets shot on the lips, the projectile will not only tear the skin and flesh but it might even burn it as well to the point of it not being restored to its full visual form, there will be disformations, I think the only place someone can get shot and have small visual deformation would be in the round areas that aren't the face, around the skull more towards the back area.

Depends on the gun used and where it impacts the face. But generally no, it can’t repair the damage. Surgery might minimise some aspects of the damage, but it certainly can’t make it look like nothing happened. And if part of your face blew off with the shot, surgery can’t bring that back, you’d have to get a prosthetic.

There are millions of stories of people being shot in the head and surviving face and back of the head. surgery is necessary at some point but even some people live with bullets in their skulls.

I mean yea I knew I guy who got shot in the face and surgery kind of fixed it I mean he could eat talk and breathe he just looked…different

To a degree. Some repairs are incredible
