This bug is driving me crazy....what kind is it?

I moved into my apartment about 2 months ago..and a little over a month ago I walked into my kitchen in the morning and turned the light on..and was face to face with some sort of bug. I was horrified but didn't know what to do it ran under my counter top. I thought it was odd considering I don't leave food out and take the trash out regularly and don't have the environment id figure would attract a bug. Then today I saw it again. Its only the second time I've seen it but it was across my counter so I had time to kill it this time. I'm hoping its over but I can't figure out what kind of bug it is. I thought it was a cockroach but it doesn't have an antenae or anything. its just a little brown beetle looking thing not tiny but not big. any ideas? if I see more should I inform my complex manager for them to take care of it, or should I do it myself?

Uhh, I couldn't really tell you what it is. A paragraph long description doesn't help much. It just sounds like a potato bug to me. But. Its probably something else. I'd call your building manager like Distant suggested, or maybe get the phone number of an exterminator and ask about it.

If you're in an apartment and experiencing an infestation of some sort, consult your building manager. Also: Many bugs fit that description so it's difficult to tell what may be.

A cockroach but I'll bet it was a water bug.
