I rather find it funny to use Friday 13th as a topic for jokes.

''13'' in general does have a symbolic meaning to me:

- my Granddad stated that it's his lucky number

- as an artisan yacht builder I often use 13 screws or bolts to mount something when the specific customer is... erm... unpleasant.

- as an engineering designer I often dimension things to 13mm, 13 inch and such... for the same kind of customer.

I learned fear of Friday the 13th, and the number 13, as treiskaidekaphobia, which is a portmanteau of two Greek words for 13 (treiskaideka, literally 3 and 10) and phobos (meaning fear of).

Until just now, I've never heard of paraskevidekatriaphobia.

Not really, I think it's an interesting concept as the whole idea is foolish given that we have leap years and therefore a Friday is merely a man made construct of the passage of a planet, around a star, that has it's own spin.
