Medical question?

I had edema in my legs. It's worse in my left than my right.
About 6 months ago, I got a few wounds on both legs. I accidentally TOUCHED a cardboard box with my shin. A few days later, I was changing the sheets on my bed and accidentally TOUCHED the edge of the box springs with my shin. These cause my skin to start oozing this slightly smelly yellowish liquid NORMALLY, these heal up within about 3 to 6 WEEKS.
So far, I've been dealing with these for SIX MONTHS!!! They're NOT getting better, they're getting WORSE!!!
Right before I got the first of these, I accidentally scooped a big divot out of the back of my shin on my neighbor's car door! It was about 4" long and about half an inch deep at the deepest part and I was SURE it was gonna take a VERY LONG time for THIS to heal, if these tiny things normally take about a month! But, that gash only took MAYBE two weeks to heal!!! My take on this is that, BECAUSE it bled a good bit, it healed up quite fast and, because there's no blood from these wounds, they WON'T heal!!
I change these bandages every day but, I think the reason they AREN'T healing is because they are CONSTANTLY wet from this liquid!!! It gets into the bandages and that keeps the wounds wet and that's making the skin waterlogged and it just falls off in quarter-sized chunks!! I can't afford to keep changing the bandages 4 or 5 times a day and, because they are leaking so profusely, I HAVE to wrap my legs in plastic bags to keep them from soaking the bed!!
My theory is that, IF I COULD do something to keep them DRY, they'll heal!! But, if I don't patch them, they'll soak the floor and the inside of my shoes!! The shoes are already ruined because of this and there's a wet spot on the carpet right where I sit because the fluid leaked THROUGH my shoes!! And, I think that, because the bandages soak up the liquid, it keeps the oozing going!! Kinda like using a strip of cloth to syphon liquid.
So, WHAT can I do for them to get them to dry up?

What can I put on them to stop the leaking?

Also, I've recently been hearing that, according to Stanford, some kind of booze will flush out edema but, of course, they refuse to tell you what it is!! It's either wine, whiskey or tequila. I don't drink booze so, I'm not looking forward to any of them but, do you know which one it is?
