What causes frequent yeast infections?

What causes them and how do you prevent them? Is it bad to get yeast infections all the time and is it dangerous?

It's a fungus. Yeast infections, jock itch, and athletes feet are caused by similar fungi. Yeast itself is a fungus. If it's on the exterior it can easily be cleared with topical anti-fungicides. If it's internal, you may need an oral anti-fungicide. Toenail fungus is another fungus that probably needs an oral.

You basically have to keep clean and dry. When you treat it, makes sure it's completely gone. If even a little bit remains, it will come right back.

Very likely you never got completely rid of it in the first place. Or you just aren't staying clean and dry.

I've had trouble with yeast in recent years.
I began taking a supplement called Candida Support that greatly helps.
Upon recently telling my doctor of the problem, he's again sent me for testing for diabetes.
The results are not yet in.

I use to get frequent yeast infections when I lived in a very damp house. Once I moved they became really infrequent.
But some things that can help prevent them are: stop using soap down there, wash with warm water and a wash cloth only, don't use scented products near there either. Wear breathable cotton underwear, don't wear tight clothes all the time. Wash your underwear separately with mild laundry detergent, use way less than it tells you to as well, no scent boosters! Eat less sugar.

Yeast infections are primarily caused by bacteria that can come from having sex with multiple men or if you are a diabetic , it’s basically caused from the immune system , that isn’t strong enough to fight the infection

You have probably weak immune system. You could try to boost it a little bit with zinc supplement pills.
