Anyone have astigmatism that have gone through this?

I recently realized my eye doctor of 20 years never really taught me the right way to wear contacts—and that’s on me too. I wore them every single day, all day, with no breaks. My astigmatism (cylinder) was always kept low.

After giving my eyes a few weeks off and seeing a new doctor, my cylinder increased a lot—and honestly, I’ve never felt better. I didn’t realize how much it was affecting my mood and daily life until now. For example, I would usually do nothing after work, only communicate when I had to, and eat poorly.

Since getting my new prescription, I actually want to go out, get things done, communicate more, and eat better—it feels like I’m seeing clearly for the first time.

Has anyone else experienced changes in their astigmatism like this? Or felt a noticeable difference after a prescription change?
