What should I do if my doctors refuse to diagnose me with bipolar?

I definitely am bipolar 2 and my Phycyatrist refuses to diagnose me with it because of my autism but I clearly have it. Now it’s gotten worse and I could never have any help without getting a proper diagnosis. I still live with my mom and she don’t think I am bipolar also and won’t allow me to get another opinion because I still live with her. What should I do?

Why do you want to have a problem? You are suppose to be afraid of being bi polar; not want it. Take this as a win before you dig the hole deeper. I managed to convince doctors I had a lot of problems... The only problem i really had was looking for solution outside of myself rather then taking responsibility for my life. I made my own life hell for many years thinking like you are right now...

I understand the part where the diagnosis would make you feel like you understand yourself. You feel like you dont understand how to cope with your emotions, but that doesn't make you bipolar, it makes you human. Bi polar is - not being able to control the duality between good and bad to find balance.

Symptoms are effects not causes. Be positive try imagine your perfect and when you feel depressed. Be aware of it and do something to make yourself happy. Next time you feel manic be aware of it take a couple deep breaths and center yourself.

Try that instead of thinking you are bipolar and just watch...
