Since I don't have to go to work anymore, my whole life is on big break now.🙂

This is for you 🌹
@sage2021 Awwww!! That's so sweet of you!! I greatly appreciated listening to that... Thank you!!🧡
You're so welcome! 🧡
Trust me... overwhelm is definitely something I get. I get so easily distracted by different stuff I'm working on and can't multitask for my life. For me it's like...
"I need to work on this. Let's get started..."
"Wait, I needed to do this too. Maybe I should do some of this now."
"This is a cool idea. Maybe I should try this out."
"Wait what was it that person asked me to do again?"
"Fuck what was my password again? Wait it says I entered the wrong username too? So how do I get my account info back?"
"I should learn this skill. It'll definitely speed up my work and I can make a ton from it."
"Wait, what was the first thing I had to do again?
"Fuck, now that I think about it, what was the second thing I was doing?"
"Sigh... now I feel exhausted and don't feel like doing anything."
"I wish I was out kayaking on a lake with a few beers."
"I give up."
*Crashes on bed and forget reality*
Lol!! Exactly...
That is a lack of grit, which in endemic in our world today. With the overwhelming amount of work I need to get done each day, plus take care of everyone else's emergencies, I never stop going, nor do I need to. Because I know how to manage my own mind, as well as the tangible demands on my schedule.
The Queen had grit, and never complained (though I am still at a loss for a single thing she ever actually accomplished). King Charles does not have grit. Margaret Thatcher had grit. Winston Churchill had grit. I'm trying to think of an American who did (I'm American, so I'm not unfairly picking on us).
Ah. George Washington had grit (though technically British when he started out). He prosecuted a literally unwinnable war against the British Empire for 8 years, and won it. Frances Ford Coppola has grit, though of the bull-in-a-china-shop variety. Nothing wrong with that, though it's not my personal preference. His daughter Sofia has grit, but hers is slow and steady, yet she never, ever stops, and she gets everything done, beautifully and exactly the way she wants.
The book everyone needs to read, and follow:
I think I got to a point far past “burnout” where instead of being tired and miserable all the time, instead I’m floating like I was drunk even though I’m stone cold sober.
I’m still fully functional which is weird.
But I don’t feel things first hand.
Like a passenger in my own body.
I’m so sorry you’re reaching that level of fatigue as well.
I hope you have plans to give yourself that much needed break
It's always of great comfort when someone truly understands. I have reached this point many times in my life and everytime I listen to my body and give it what it needs. And my time will be between the end of August and beginning of September where I retire to the beach and just swim it all away after a very long summer. It has been a challenging year for me too but as I often say I'm mind over matter which inevitably means my mind takes most of the strain and I'm physically very strong to take the load that I don't realise exactly under how much pressure I'm actually dealing with. But I will recover.
Save me some room on that towel 😏
Ooooh I definitely will...😉
Yup. I get there roughly every three months or so. My 4 hour sleep pattern catches up with me physically. Pushing myself physically eventually depletes my energy reserves. And my mind let's go of it's constant activity. I may crash and sleep for 10 -12 hours. Sometimes for 2 days in a row. Then it starts all over again.
Yes there are some weird times in the USA with us messing in the middle east, climate change, wildfires, floods, inflation and an idiot for a president. I go for a trail run in the mornings before it gets too hot and listen to some tunes and read a good book to chill out. Sure some fun orgasms also help! I also find it helps when I tune out social media, and the internet for a while
sometimes... every few years, I definitely take a trip up to the mountains, and on my own... have not done it a bit while, though
And when was the last time you went there? (=
a couple of years ago... on my own
It makes perfect sense to me...(=
We all need a break once in a while.
Go on a mini-vacation, leave the hone turned off, and just do fun things.
Spot on. Weekend trip. I’ll add stay away from alcohol though.
I can absolutely. There are times when all the things and lists and expectations and plans just get overwhelming. A rest is essential at those times.
I am counting down the days until I have 5 weeks' leave starting September 1st. I do need the break from work.
I'm experiencing an overload of thoughts, as you described, and in need of a week's vacation.
I found that my thinking meat breaks down much less when i have an even mixture of thinking/feeling. Removing the feeling part makes intervals of thinking really fast and overheating.
yes, years ago I was living a much more stressful life.
as someone with adhd sometimes it does due to sensory overload. like it needs time to take in everything before i can proceed.
Burnout is God's way of telling you to chill the fuck out.
I can absolutely relate, but on the other hand, my brain is my best friend. Even when I get tired, my brain seems to keep right on chugging.
Yes because I have a nearly perpetually active 160 IQ.
Your Brain needs you to Eat Baked Goods, find a Safe place and Sleep for 2 Days!
Will you be Taking a break from gag,?
Not for a long while. But I will take a break from asking questions for a few days at a time as I have done now. I will post opinions though if a questions captures my attention.
If you get lonely, I can always talk to you 😊
Regardless I'm always open for private conversations. I am only a message away for everyone on here.
😊🥳
@thegreenyogi Trust me. I feel the burnout. I used to post a lot more frequently, but it's kinda tough to post consistently. Now I only post when inspired or extremely bored and looking for something to do 😂
What kind of music do you like? You remind me of a very relaxing mellow type that would have a glass of wine and chill out in front of a living room fireplace
@HawkPerception Yeah... that's pretty much my plan too. Not just because of the burnout which is in part due to the fact that I am using my brain to acquire a lot of knowledge at the moment but also because I've noticed that when I take breaks some really great worth while question come to me. 🙃
Maybe he posted in the wrong area
@Iron_Man I do enjoy listening to calmer low key music... I do listen to London Grammar, Haevn and other artists like Olivia Dean. I do enjoy the fireplace but not for drinking wine because I don't drink alcohol much but I do like to read and make clothes in front of the fire.
Very nice that’s very cool calm and relaxed
It is!!
I’m glad you can relax and enjoy yourself and let things completely go and just enjoy the moment
I definitely do. It's a priority for me otherwise I wouldn't be able to do all that I do and still stand on my own two feet.
That’s the way to do it. Sip
On a glass of wine and relax put your legs up and enjoy the fire and some soft music just relax and listen to the fire crack on the wood
yeah can relate for years but bmnever reached that break
but never*
Yeah. Burnout is a real thing. 🙁
LOL same here. I'm so tired of being tired.
Yes, I can relate, definitely.
yup. It's been a rough year.
Sure!
Yes take time out, put on a mindless show.
Sure.
Yeap
Absolutely.
Yeah, I can.
