Are bed bugs spread like lice?

My friend that I sleep with just came back from a trip and he told me that he got bitten by bed bugs while ge was there. I had sex with him and slept in his bed. Now I am afraid te passed the bed on to my body. I know the bed bugs did not originate from his bed but is it possible he carried the bed bugs back home with him and passed them on to me. I feel very itchy but I am not sure if it is cycological or not?

Well, bed bugs can get into your clothing, luggage, and other belongings. It is possible that he could have brought them back to his home, and then it is possible that you could them up from sleeping in his bed.

My brother had bedbugs, and then my mom ended up with them when my brother brought a bag of his clothes to her place to do his laundry.

Keep in mind, though, that even if your friend brought some back with him from his trip, it does take some time for them to reproduce and start infesting his home, so it wouldn't be like his bed would be infested with them right after he got home.

I imagine that the itchiness you're feeling is psychological. It's quite common for people to start feeling itchy when they hear about things like bed bugs, lice, etc. Do you have any bites? This is what they look like: link link

I don't have any bites, but when I think about bed bugs I start feeling itchy. He promised that I would not catch bed bugs from sleeping at his place but I googled bed bugs after I stayed at his place and saw that theyu can travel on his luggage and got very nurvess.

Yes, you definitely can spread bed bugs that way. They could be in his clothes, or anything he brought with him. Unless his sheets were washed completely and he completely washed his clothes/everything that he brought with him and didn't have them come into contact with his bed or anywhere you sat/laid then its definitely possible you have it. Shower, wash your clothes, wash anything else you brought with you and hope for the best. Chances are you'll start seeing rashes/bites if you have them currently on your skin. But that's not something that ALWAYS happens.

youd know if you have red rash like skin. iam pretty sure they hide in fabrics such as a mattress. pretty sure they can't reside in your skin I think it'd be quite uncomfy and youd actually see them on you

Wash your clothes and bed sheets asap, it is possible that you got some from him cause they do like to hide in clothes, mattress's etc..

Not likely. The only way it could get passed from him to you is if he brought back his clothing, sleeping bag, etc. back into his room without proper cleaning, the lice transferred to his bed, and then onto your cloths. They wouldn't inhabit your body, but if you've been wearing the same cloths since then, I'd recommend showering and changing. If you end up getting bed bug bites, they will appear as some red dots on your body.
