Woo! I've recently switched to vegetarianism also. :) Have had lots of vegan things (parents went all out and went vegan lol) as well!
I've found if you want a recipe, just google it and put vegetarian or vegan at the end. Something will show up!
Things that I've tried/eaten more of lately: Veganaise, Humus, pears, avocados, nuts (cashews, peanuts, walnuts), Soy milk (protein), natural peanut butter, tofu, veggie burgers, vegan chip dip, homemade pizza, salsa...yea lots of stuff lol! DAVE'S KILLER BREAD!
Maybe look up ethnic recipes? Indian and Chinese food...also take old recipes and substitute the meat with tofu/veggies.
