Does taking acne pills gives negative effect to your health?

My skin is oily and it makes me easy to get pimples no matter how much I take care of it. Recently I went to a pharmacy and they gave me some acne pills to balance my hormone.After two weeks I noticed a very huge difference on my skin.My pimple seems stop growing and my skin is much better.I know this is cool but I just curious if there is any effect of taking this pills.

Dont mean to scare you but it was my uncles acne medicines that is believed to have caused him to have osteoperosis later in life. Everything has side effects unless its homeopathic, whether these particular ones will be a serious risk or not no-one can tell you unless you google the pills you are taking and find people that have taken them and see what happened to them.

Its hard to say because effects on your body can stay dormant and not appear til later. Since its messing with your hormones, I suggest you definitely not take it long term. Go to a dermatologist and see what they can do/say. I'd trust a dermatologist with this before a pharmacist for sure.

It's possible that any pill will give you side effects long term. It's a crutch that prevents your body from completing it's natural cycles.

If at all possible, avoid pills and stick with face washes.

I'm not a doctor, but anything that affects your hormone balance could be a problem long term. I woldn't take anything like that without asking a medcally qalified person about it.

Yes, anything affecting your hormone balance often means trouble if you take it long term. Steroids taken by athletes is the best known example...but it depends on the dosage.

There's no such thing as acne pills. There's lots of different types all of which have different potential side effects. Usually when you agree to take medication your doctor is meant to inform you about any potential side effects. If you've bought them over the counter in a pharmacy then its unlikely there will be any big ones.

I m not sure about if pills give you negative effects but you can use some homeopathic medicines so it won't give you any side effects. ;)

There are numerous factors. Ask your doctor. Don't rely on random people on an online forum for this kind of information.
