I was planning on becoming a nutritionist at a time and I'm a personal trainer so I've done a fair amount of research on these things. Now while what they say is true, the main reason people don't do well on diets is because they're hard to stock to, and this is way harder. Plus your eliminating important foods like grains, lean meats, fish, and chicken. Plus it doesn't offer you anything diff it's just taking healthful foods and blending them up. Why can't you accomplish the same thing without driving yourself crazy it's not the fact that they're in smoothie form that makes you lose weight it's the rest of what they say
True true I'm working on becoming a nutritionist and personal trainer now as well I just like to try new things and seeing as how I eat one way and my family eats another it would be wrong of me to force my lifestyle on them I figure by doing the smoothie diet I get the best of both worlds. Now as for eliminating certain foods that's why there's the one whole meal then you add those foods or nutrients that your missing. Plus there are certain vktamins you can mix into the smoothies as well
If you're a healthnut then ignore the ginger ale part of that diet.
Alcohol adds belly fat more than hamburgers, beer especially! It's called 'beer-belly' for a reason.
Hmm.. it ends at dinner? Where's the supper? Oh - I got it, less activity in the evenings means less calories burned.
And it is.. 500 calories per day...
Basically.. taking myself as an example - according to the first random calorie calculator I found on Google - I personally need to consume 2530 calories daily for normal function and 2024 daily for fat loss.
That number 500 now really is screaming!
Well it says I have to eat at least one solid meal a day that can be lunch or dinner and those meals have to be between 500-600 calories overall. Should I chose to do this I would be taking in depending on the smoothie recipe and the amount of protein at least 1200 or less and then ofcourse you add the daily workout as well
sounds great to me!
i never even knew about the smoothie diet. I'm trying to lose my last little bit of belly fat for summer, and I drink lot's of smoothies. it's actually a really good idea. smoothies are filling, and not to mention, filled with fruit. lot's of vitamins.
what you could also do for breakfast is what I do: have a parfait.
granola cereal, with yogurt( of any flavour) and some fresh fruit on top. it's delicious, healthy, & super filling. and it has lot's of fiber from the granola cereal.
good luck! :)
Thank you! :) good luck to you too!
eh diets are always so restrictive and crazy, I think being a vegetarian is great and its more flexible in my case. and its not cutting me off all the stuff like chocolate. It gives you more fruits and veggies than smoothies and since they aren't liquid it will keep you more full. (kind of guessed about the diet, it wouldn't load on my laptop)

I have considered this before- and a soup diet. However, websites were saying that there won't be enough fibre. There isn't enough whole food to break down, and it wouldn't be good for your digestive system. Sorry, I can't remember the details.
Ask yourself if you can sustain it for the rest of your life. The answer is no. So don't hinge your hopes on it. Diet the right way and you'll live healthy and prosper.
i'm sure you've heard of juicing, have you tried that?
i want to but I don't have money to buy a gang of fruits and veggies.
I haven't actually tried it myself but I do have friends and it does work but it takes time and they were always at the grocery store lol but no it J's very healthy you get tons of vitamins and nutritional values however you aren't as full as you would be if say you tried the smoothie diet therefore you actually crave more foods but I've heard mainly good results about it...if you don't want to buy tons of fruits and veggies there are healthy organic juice options that are essentially the same
I saw you said you'll take in 1200 cals a day. That's way to little
Well that's how much the diet would give me anyways maybe more depending on the reciepes...this isn't a definite its just something I'm considering and looking at all aspects of
You can try it but I can gurantee you will still be hungry, I had to go on a smoothie diet due to surgery that I had, it was not fun.
why you are not overweight dear just curvy :)
Haha thank you :) I wouldn't say I'm doing it because I think I'm fat or anything its more to create a healthier lifestyle...plus I don't want to lose my curves my boyfriend loves them lol
ok :)
