You need to understand how whitening works.
Whitening toothpastes only remove stains on top of the enamal. So if your enamal has deeper stains, it won't make any difference. And if your enaml is thin, it won't work either because under the enamal is dentin, which is naturally yellow and this shows through.
White strips are also besically just for surface stains.
Other methods of teeth whitening is bleaching the deeper stains and the dentin, usually you need whitening trays or a dentist. but it can cause sensitivity.

Don't do the professional teeth whiten it's not healthy. What I do is get some whitening tooth paste and whitening mouth wash, and brush your teeth after every meal, and use the mouth was once every night. in 3 weeks you will see a huge difference, and it's not harmful or unnatural. I hope it works for you, it will :)
That's going to hurt... enamel is protecting the nerves, when that's depleted your teeth become sensitive. I suggest you see a dentist about whether you should whiten your teeth or not even if you don't go to them for whitening as such. If you don't use tooth mousse you should probably start.
It wouldn't work at all on the spots with no enamel, because whitening kits and professional bleaching only bleaches the enamel.

try some good mouthwash with brushing and use it "religiously" once every day. I have bad teeth and when I want them to be more white that's what I do but it takes a while (not sure how long)
Professional whitening and stronger whitening kits will only eat away even more enamel.
I don't suggest it. Having healthy teeth is more important than having white teeth.
