Trending & News Actually, if you read, there IS a cure if detected early, and there are currently VERY FEW cases in the US. The 300,000+ cases are based on predictions of the future. Predictions which may never come true.
It's good to be aware and have a reasonable level of concern, but I'm sure there are already people at work on ways to suppress the insects and keep them from further spreading, as well as ways to treat the disease into the symptions stage.
These types of articles are largely to create interest and sell ads, rather than to do a good job of informing people of a potential threat.
i actually never heard of it until I seen a news report on TV about it. there are 30,000 known cases in the united states but as I said before not everyone know about it and it takes many years for someone to find out (20 on average) you would have to get in quick to find out. I don't think they are trying to sell ads. there are different news channals posting about it
News channels exist to sell ads; all of them.
But, yes, a report was recently released to the media, which is why all the major outlets are running this story.
It's good to know, but not something that concerns me especially.
10 years ago, killer bees and fireants were going to wipe out all humans in the southern US. Hasn't happened yet.
Global warming, I think, is spreading tropical diseases north. I didn't know there so many already in the US. it has an eiology much like malaria...
i don't believe in global warming. every so many years the earth will change temps naturally. back in the 60's and 70's there were claims of global freezing which has never happened. I do believe most of these illnesses are created in the lab and "accidently" gets out while others are more natural. but thanks for answering :)
Heard it from brother last night freak me out so I close my window ...i hope they don't spread over here damn pest we got to create a repellent some thing
