Sauté some minced shallots or onion in one T oil & 2 T butter until almost soft,add quarter cup white wine,reduce by half. Add sardines(whole,chopped or minced) just till heated. Add favorite pasta,salt and pepper to taste,toss and serve. Many things can also be added,fresh garlic,various vinegars,lemon juice,blanched veggies,scallions,cilantro,more oil or butter etc.

When I did eat them I ate them with grits for breakfast and brushed my teeth so hard to get the smell out for school...

Lol looking back it was really silly a piece of gum vs adding x10 the normal amount of tooth paste would've worked..

But you can put it on pizza, I know someone who likes them with just mayo :x (ick to me lol)
