There is a Harvard doctor I watch online and he did two experiments. In the first experiment, he ate nothing but eggs for one month to combat the claim that eggs raise cholesterol, he wanted to show that claim was false by eating eggs for 30 days and then testing his cholesterol levels.

In a second and third experiment done years apart, he ate nothing but sardines for 30 days. What I found cool was that after eating sardines for 30 days, he became cold resistant and could walk around without a t-shirt on in minus degree weather celsius in Cambridge.

It makes me want to try this diet as well but, my parents would never let me eat nothing but sardines for 30 days. I will have to wait until they go on vacation without me to do a sardine fast for weight loss reasons.

They remind me of a small bar in Lisbon where I first tried them simply with warm bread, olive oil, lemon and black pepper. Good quality sardines are rich, savory and a bit briny, perfect on toast, in pasta, or mixed with tomato and chili. They are affordable, nutritious and full of flavor.

If those small fishes are gutted, they aren't that bad in oil. Of course it's not good as fried cod or haddock but it's edible in the woods.
Sardines contain a lot of mega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin B12 and D.
