I certainly don't think the soccer is fixed - no one cares enough about Olympic soccer to bother. If they did care, they would field better teams. That's why Spain lost to Japan, and Great Britain lost to South Korea.
I do believe that in judged sports (not so much in the Olympics), the judges are often biased towards the big stars. Obviously the ruling body is there to promote the sport, and that's a lot easier when you have recognizable stars, rather than just a load of fairly equal players (ideally, they like to have a rivalry between two big stars - eg. Federer vs Nadal).
Similarly, the ruling body will sometimes let stars get away with things that would be damaging to the sport if revealed. For example, Serena Williams has done a lot to popularize tennis - but there has long been speculation that she takes steroids or other drugs.
Maybe she's guilty, maybe not - but the WTA aren't going to take that chance. She may never have tested positive, but she has consistently been allowed to avoid taking the tests in the first place (was not tested out of competition even once during '10 and '11, and when an officer did arrive to test her, she fled to a secure panic room!).

Brazil sells. Just look at the NBA and how they rigged Miami to win the championship just because LeBron needed to win one.
If the score was dealt unfairly, that doesn't mean it's rigged. Judges do make mistakes.
