Boyfriend doesn't "usually" call or text first will he if I don't contact him?

So I've realized that I was acting stupid and noticed that I call and text him first MOST of the time and that a lottt of girls do it! I don't want to be that needy girl who thinks she should be he mans number one priority over everything like work family and such. So I've decided to not contact him and see if he contacts me first and stay busy with other things like movies hanging with friends, family etc. I've done this for a day he contacted me the same day we've been together for a month and a week not long I KNOW DON'T TELL ME TO DUMP HIM JUST B.C THIS THAT AND ANOTHER B.C I'm NOT ONE TO GIVE UP OVER SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS. He hasn't contacted me since Monday but I did text him on the 27th & told him I really miss him he said" I miss you too(kissy face) in bed now xoxo... since we haven't seen each other in 2 weeks we live about a hour give or take 30 min away from each other. So should I keep doing this I'm really scared he won't contact me & like a normal girl I'm thinking he is cheating or found someone else b.c he hasn't contacted me ;-(. I'm ver insecure b.c of past relationships its just hard a.f sometimes because of the past.

Are you really over 18? If so then you can just go and see him. How come you haven't seen each other in over 2 weeks if you're only one hour apart, if you're 22 or something?

Why are you stressing out over whom texts whom the most frequently if you're 23 or similar age?

That's the sort of thing you worry about when you're a teenager. As you get older you get in touch at the right times, doesn't matter who does it, you just do.

Why would you dump him over this, over what?

im 22 and I'm worried b.c I can't just pop up at his house uninvited that's very rude and if I text or call him more that makes me look needy as hell.

Everything could be fine... But ease off on the contact a little to make him chase you a bit, he might be a laid back guy who doesn't need contact with his partner every day.

i have eased off I'm a bit worried because he hasn't been on f.b much he say its been acting up on his mobile site but his relationship status is in a relationship still but when he gets on my car page I can see who viewed my post and he was only on yesterday. maybe he got hired full time like he said food lion might do..
