I'm thinking about losing weight for a guy, is this wrong?!

So I've liked this guy for awhile now. And I confronted him about and we were cool and decided on being friends. No big deal. Until a "rumor" was spread that he said that I would be really hot if I dropped the weight. And then he told me I'm the "sweetest girl he knows" and so he feels bad about not liking me and when I talked to him about it he said that it was a lie, but why would he lie to me if I'm so "sweet"!?!? Later that week he told our mutual friend he was lying to me :/ he apologized and said that he felt stupid and he was really embarrassed. So I forgave him and the whole time he was apologizing I could only think about how cute he was. ): and then he told my best friend that "things would be different if I was skinnier." I've been working out trying to slim down before he even said this. Would it be wrong to date him once I'm skinny enough for him?

i don't think you should lose weight for a guy, I think you should lose weight to be healthy and live a longer life. what happens if it doesn't work with this guy? sounds like youd just sink into a depression and gain the weight back. start thinking for yourself, there's more to life than guys, same for the guys. lose and weight and be healthy for yourself. in a society obsessed with sex, I know its hard not to be focused on it. but really take some time to think what you really want in life, discover yourself and what you like/love. then find somebody who shares your interests. a relationship built off of sex won't last.

I doubt if he's the right guy for you. If he says that you'll be 'perfect' after you lose weight, he's a bit of a d*** if you don't mind my French. In my opinion, you should think twice about losing weight for him.

I'm almost 17. Lol and he apologized for being a d*** and an a**hole and told him I forgave him because I just hate being mad. But I never judged him off looks and he is a great guy and he is always there for me. My best friend said that he has feelings but he doesn't want to act upon them because he would be embarrassed to be with me. But ten why does he walk with me at school and smile at me in the hallway? ):

Thanks! You're right. I've stopped talking to him (well not since Sunday!) but if he misses my "sweetness" and my "friendship" then he can start the conversation. I'm tired of feeling pathetic and I don't deserve it!

If he dated you know as you lose weight (which is healthy! :D) (i'm trying to do that too) then I think that's better. Because puhlease, you're the same person with and without the weight. your personality is the same throughout it all. If he rather date you after you loose that weight he's a little see you nnnnnn t if you know what I mean. If he went through and dated you all throughout the process I think that's nicer and much more kindhearted than waiting for that sexy body~

Yeah I know what you mean! Lol. But his best friend, who is dating my best friend, who I happen to be super close with said that he is really looking for a skinny girl. So he wouldn't want me until the final result. But after all he has been there for me even when no one else was, I see deeper and I think I would still date him. But he has been really confusing and walking with me more in the hallway an smiling at me more often. He had even made a point of texting me first and tryin to hold up

To hold up a conversation and just sending me random texts. Which pisses me off because even though I told him that I'm cole tell over him, I'm not and he is just making it harder. And he invited me to go to basketball game with him and friends so I could see how good he is at it because I jokingly said that I think he was lying when he said that he was "amazing at basketball" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Or am I just over thinking it and it means absolutely nothing?

Omg, when you said his bestie is dating your bestie, I first thought of a book where this entire thing happen, 'cept it wasn't about weight and all that hubba bubba ^.^ it's a really good book, but yeah, back to the point~ If he's been there I don't see why he'd wait for the final result, I don't get that part, maybe he wants to see if you can do it, I honestly don't get that... He's showing off :3 at least that's what I think, only reason I'd bring a girl (if I were a guy) to one of my games, it'd be to show off and be like "yeah I play basket ball am I hot enough?" something of that sort~ But yeah, as you said, maybe he wants to see if you will work it, put the time and effort into this, see if your good "material" I guess, I don't know how to phrase it in words. Sometimes the over thinking gets in the way, and sometimes its nothing, I think it's right in the middle.
