Why is this happening to me?

I am totally into this new guy at work. granted I have yet to talk to him. He doesn't work in my department so we rarely interact. When we do pass each other in the hall I get light headed and speechless.

It's the craziest thing since I haven't had this happen since high school. Plus I mean he is obviously good looking, but not like some Channing Tatum hot. I don;t know how to get over this so I can at least say hi. Quite honestly it's embarrassing as once I had to almost sit down I thought I was gonna pass out:(

lol! you're SO totally crushing on the guy...take a deep breath when you see him coming so won't pass out when you walk by with a stack of papers in your hands. Unless you deliberately drop it to get his attention... ;)

I wish certain coworkers of the pretty/single female variety feels the same way about me but we work in different departments too. ehehehe But I do talk to them though...Anyways...all it takes a 'hi, I'm , which department do you work in?' to get the ball rolling.. :) And...hopefully you bump into him more often in the hallways, lunchroom, reception area, lobby, etc etc.

Such a strong attraction is nearly always mutual. Check him out, wink at him, see what he is about. Do some research first since it's at work to see if he's even available; then of course,m yuneed to decide how sticky your work is about romances between employees, and how difficult it would be to break up and still have to work together..

But that's down the ine. Right now, do some research on him!

Well he isn't married I checked that. And you are allowed to date as long as you aren't over them. I personally have dated people at work and been able to keep it classy.

As for checking him out we have had only two brief interactions. Neither one he has said anything to me. The first he let me cut in front of him at the clock in machine, but just motioned. When I s=noticed I was early I said such and he looked at me like I was crazy. The second we got to the clock in machine at the same time

and he didn't even look at me:( So I doubt the attraction is the same... sadly.

I think its important to realize that you're basically just lusting over him...because you know absolutely nothing about him.Keep in mind that he is a person just like anyone else...which means:Take the time to say hello sooner rather than later.Why?Because even some of the most attractive people can be A-holes and have poor character.Otherwise,all of these "emotions" you're having over your "idea" or "fantasy" of him,is a complete waste of time and energy.

Lust would denote sexual thoughts of which I have none. I just have not been so strongly attracted to a guy I have never talked to like this in over 14 years. And there are no ideas, fantasy, or emotions attached. It's mainly confined to work and glancing at him. I just am confused by how my body is reacting.

Urrr...you might want to look up the definition to lust girly.:) Lust is not limited to a sexual want or thought. Lust is an intense want for something or someone.So you might disagree,but I think you're lusting over him for sure.Difference of opinions here I guess...
