How can I talk to my ex?

I broke up with him, but he's been trying to make things right between us and I'd be open to giving him a second chance. At the moment, he's initiating most of the contact. The problem is that I feel like I can't contact him first unless I have something important to tell him, which more than often, I don't haha

So help me out here. What's some ideas for things I could say just so he doesn't feel like he's the only one trying?

I am in this exact situation .. only more complicated. I guess if you really wanna make stuff work, you'll know what to do .. chances are you are a bit turned off right now and unfortunately you can't do much about that.. first thing you should do is tell him how I feel, maybe he ll give you some space so you eventually miss him and start initiating conversations :)
