I love my girlfriend I have been together with her for 4 years but well she got back from college and it was her freshmen year and she gain some pounds. I feel so bad for asking this but how do I tell her that she is a little heavy. The bad thing is she is small 5 foot 3 so pounds show. she also as bad as this is, she makes fun of other people who gained weight while at college to. so sometimes I'm like baby please look at yourself before you judge other people.

I don't want to be the bad guy but I don't want someone to hurt her first by saying mean things since she is back home and all her friends are coming home to see she for the first time.

She might be making fun of other people who gained weight to see how you react. She probably knows she gained weight. Trust me, us girls know. She is probably very self-conscious about it and is in denial. It's a defense mechanism she is using by making fun of others so she won't have to face the music with herself. I would suggest maybe asking her to go work out with you or when yall go on dates go to healthy restaurants or even cook some healthy meals. Just say you won't both of yall to get into better shape TOGETHER-tell her it will be something yall can both do together that is healthy and fun.

There is no easy way to do this...hmm suggest these awesome healthy meals that a lot of girls you know are trying and that they love them... Eating healthy goes a long way. Since I started college I made it a point to eat healthier...since drinking alcohol and partying can easily lead to a calorie overload. :) lol.

You can go online and search healthy meals, meal plans, and look for things you know she likes. I hate that it is considered a lie(just a little white 1 ), but really you can't say hey hun I want you to eat healthier because you look as if you gained some weight.

I am sure that she is aware of her weight gain...Girls are very in tune with this. She is probably making fun of others to deflect attention from herself. You don't need to be the bad guy, don't say anything. It will on then be a point of contention between you and her. She knows.

Please, for the love of God, do NOT tell her she's fat, gained weight, etc. But tell her to stop making fun of people for gaining weight. She might be doing that because she realizes that she's gained weight, and is trying to make up for it by insulting other people. As for how to deal, start doing more exercise-based activities together, like hiking or swimming, so you're subtly helping her lose the extra weight.
