He says he likes me but is too busy with work?

We met back in May 2013 on a site called POF. he's 27 and is an accountant full-time. I'm 24 years old and about to finish college in hairstyling. He said he was looking for a girlfriend when we met and we "clicked" and liked each other. There was a chemistry between us and both our hearts raced every time. He was a gentleman to me - buying me coffeees and taking me out, etc...he was even asking me questons to get to know me and my family and we really click.

Now tonight he texts me from work saying all this:

"he was saying he can't be a good boyfriend because he's busy with work all the time and that he's very sorry

"he wanted a girlfriend but he doesn't want one now because he's busy with work. and then he tells me I'm pretty, sweet and smart and very nice and that the guys will love me, but that he isn't ready for a girlfriend because of work - maybe in th future but not now...

How could he disappear on me if he likes me so much?

he also told me he's depressed because his job is very difficult

i also nticed that he shut his pof account back in August and even before we got anymore intimate he tells me about being depressed and not being ready for a gf

then I told him that we can still see each other one time a week like we are now but he said he can't and he said that work did this...and that he's very sorry
