Specific weight gain/loss question.

Alright, I hope this doesn't come off as a really terrible question...

Let's say a fairly thin girl puts on a little weight, evenly distributed, all over a period of a few years. Is it then possible to lose fat in certain areas (arms, stomach, sides), but keep it in others (chest, bootay, thighs)?

I know I know I'm a horrible person for asking but I'm curious.
