yes first thing that comes to mind is depression, but I know of a guy (among my favorite rappers) that believed for long to suffer depression, however, even though he kind of was "diagnosed" and confirmed, in reality he suffered from DPD link

I think of another example Hugh Laury (House MD) claimed most of what you wrote, and of BIG significance to his diagnosys if depression was "not feeling any emotions" which was what alerted him in the first place, he said he would drive nascar type of cars, her explotions and almost crashing and literaly feeling nothing, and yes, he had depression.

but while "not feeling like himself" can also be depression, for instance Laury did not suffer of that particularly, but the avobe mentioned rapper find it to be the main part of his condition, again, the line is fine, missdiagnosys can happen, so check yourself if DPD suits the symptoms.

apparently, another thing why it is hard to diagnose is that while depression is more studied, DPD is not, and if you read, DPD (even if it sound counterintuitive) is neurosis, which is treated differently from depression, though is not that obvious, DPD is not what you think when you hear neurosis, so DPD is kind of herder to spot, there are in the wiki page some home made tests, but apparently, from what I read of the rappers history, those are kind of in developement and not that conclusive, but is a good start, if depression as an answer seems to not work, maybe this is.

and as you can see, it very much sound like depression, you would BET it is depression but it is not, and maybe he as an example can help you exemplify DPD, other song kind of depressed of him, Razorblade Salvation, but even then you can see a pinch of "hope" not that characteristic of depression, even parts talking about an avobe average self steem and kind of WANT for experience life at its fullest.

both Laury (depression) an Paz (DPD) mention consistent lack of emotions, Laury does not talk about memory loss but Paz does, he talks about doing something and totally forgetting it, and when watching it recorded he is like "when did that happen?" and that it is as complex as say "doing the art for a new album", the whole process erased from his memory and stuff like that

I have some weird way of ADHD, and while I would not call it memory loss, I often "skip" some parts of my day, like the most "mechanical", like walking to the mall, I can not in any way say which path I used or absolutely forgetting the "small talk" I had along the day. BUT is not "forgetting" more like "not paying attention to the point that the info was never registered in the first place". And you do not notice because I am otherwise very functional and do not appear like having ADHD

yeah I would say it anxiety, maybe social anxiety, maybe losing friends or just not wanting to see somebody again. depression can lead to loss of sleep and energy. depression kind of zaps the life out of you, everything seems to run together and people become almost a threat in certain situations. And it gives you a sense of not caring anymore, and when you are depressed you can't get over yourself and think about others, and show love or affection.

Whatever emotions are not being expressed are being repressed and is causing depression.

Watch a bad documentary? But get depressed? Might need to cry or get angry or EXPRESS your opinions boldly. If not might get depressed.
