Home workout dvds...do they work?

Do home workout dvd work or ones on YouTube? As good as going to the gym? also have you had good results from them?

Workout dvds work the same way everything else diet and workout related do. You need to be committed and not to give up after the first difficulties arrive.

Dvds migh get boring in the sense that you only have as many options. gyms offer a greater variety of programs and seeing other people might help keep you motivated. however, it is sometimes much easier to work out at the privacy of your own house, maybe with a friend and at whatever time is more convinient for you. other methods you can try is you tube videos and several websites offering workout videos for free. or ipad and smartphone apps with no or minimal cost, offering different workout routines.

keep it up, whatever you choose, and remember, you don t have to spend a lot of money on expensive equipment, dvds, clothes or gym subscriptions. what you need is simple routines you can follow consistently

Yep, I've done P90x and a few of Rodney Yee's yoga videos and absolutely loved it. As long as you're motivated to work out or stay fit I don't think it really matters where you workout. Of course some people have their preferences that could affect their mindset during their workout. For me, I like to be alone. So if you feel like working out with DVDs throws off you attitude and makes you uncomfortable then find a more suitable environment that works for you

I didn't take any help from anyone and lost 25 kgs, made a nice chocolat tab and built some biceps and thighs.

You just need to be motivated by your objectives, and persevere until they are reached.

Abs, pushups, a bit of jogging (or fast walking) and tractions are all you need.

I've done insanity for about 2 months and I lost so much weight not only because its "Extreme" but I push myself through those beyond my expectations.

They work if they actually challenge you and you actually stick to them and do them regularly. But no results will come unless you eat healthy as well. :)

These dvds tend to get boring, and they aren't so much fun as that good looking fitness instructor, or those flirty people in the aerobics class..so very motivating!

If I go someplace to work out I get stuff done, but if I try to work out in my house I get distracted.

I did home workouts and they worked pretty well, I think its the same as going to the gym except the gym has more weight lifting stuff.

I believe so. You just need to be committed and do the recommended plan they give you. Everyone has their routines. I've done it all. Pretty much, eat healthy and get your exercise in. Good luck :)
