Trying to lose weight by not necessarily becoming vegan?

Im 17 and a tad overweight (5'5" & 147lbs)

Ive started procrastinating really bad when I reached 144lbs! Its almost been a month I believe, so now I'm deciding on getting back on track. Most of my body fat is on my tummy and some on thighs (I have cellulites there now D: )

Asides from losing the weight, I actually want to become fitter, toned, and healthier. I'm deciding that next week, I will most likely eat vegetarian food, no juices, no junk food, just water to drink, and eat very little protein while doing exercise challenges.

Im only planning to do this for a month and slowly go into a normal balanced eating habit and literally do more daily exercises while I'm at it and train more. Do you think this will help? Its my senior year in hs and I'm planning on looking and feeling my best before prom and graduation :D
