Waxed my upper lip now the skin is starting to peel?

Ok, So I waxed my upper lip with a pre waxed strip a few days ago and now the skin is starting to peel. Is there a better way to wax without the skin peeling? Thanks :)

I'm guessing your skin is very sensitive and maybe a bit dry. Try using a pre wax oil it will prevent the wax from sticking to your skin. :) I prefer not to wax my face, because it's so sensitive so I always end up either with a rash or it starts to peel. I thread the hair away instead or use epistick :)

So you're supposed to use the oil before you wax?

Depends on which oil you have is it the post or pre oil? I'm guessing that you only have the post oil, because that is often what they put along with pre waxed strips.

Also, I have noticed that pre waxed strips and cold wax also the ones for sensitive skin are still toooo harsh for your face. Try some chocolate wax or other warm wax for very sensitive skin.

It only cam with a little thing of oil so im assuming its the post oil. Ill look into the chocolate wax tho :)

It's very good, when I don't have time for threading or epistick I use chocolate wax. Just don't eat it, it smells fantastic!

Anyways since your upper lip is already peeling just use some Vaseline or other cream with a lot of moisture to make it heal faster. And don't peel that will just make it red and irritated.

The same thing happens to me! It's either becoz wax is not enough heated! That rips ur skin off as well ! And apparently I got told if u do it yourself! You put too much pressure on the skin which also rips the skin off! Either heat the wax enough and use sensitive wax! :)

Its the pre waxed strips. where you warm it between your hands. But you got a point tho, it could be from the pressure and not enough heat.
