For those who celebrate it that is? Did you ever partake in Easter egg hunts? if so how was it? did you ever find a golden egg with money in it usually?

My entire neighborhood held Easter egg hunts when I was a kid. It totally wouldn’t fly today though.
It was pretty violent. Bigger kids would hockey check other kids out of the way for Easter candy. There wasn’t really a limit on how many eggs a kid could collect. Yeah it wasn’t my favorite time of the year, for sure.
I've never heard of the golden egg. We just hunted for regular dyed hardboiled eggs. Then ate them afterward. Us kids also got baskets filled with candies.
Yep. In the morning, my parents used to have us hunt for the eggs we dyed the night before, then later in the day we would go to my cousin's house and have a big egg hunt there. The plastic eggs were usually filled with either candy (jellybeans or chocolate) or change. 😅
You weren't lucky enough to get the golden egg with maybe a $20 inside? lol

Yes. Random me as a like 5 year old on Easter

I definitely did this and I loved it. My brother and I also got Easter baskets. They'd be hidden somewhere in the house and we'd set out on a hunt for them when we got up Easter morning. We participated in some public egg hunts and I do recall winning a prize egg that had a small amount in it (it was 5 bucks or less... can't remember the exact amount). Our grandparents also LOVED hosting a cute little familt egg hunt for us and our cousins.
We definitely always colored Easter eggs as well!

Yes, in elementary school we use cuts outs from a gallon of water or milk as our Easter baskets.
Teachers hid the eggs around the playground..
I got the most eggs and the teacher took some out of my basket to give to other kids with less 😂 i was a little pissed ngl I earned that lady 😪
I remember my family had money in plastic eggs like quarters and dollar bills around the backyard. When my nieces and nephews when they were young like 5/6 and 3/1 we had an Easter egg hunt outside and cracked eggs and they ran outside for 2 hours having fun. Haven't done it since as they are in middle school and high school and my nieces are at their other grandparents house for Easter.
Yes, I used to go on Easter Egg hunts as a kid
you didn't find a golden egg?
@Still-alive Nope, no luck!!!
Yep. Though Easter eggs are a bit different here. We don't have the plastic ones that you put things inside. All of our Easter eggs are chocolate eggs.
probably a few times when i was too young to remember it. don't think i'd do it for my future kid tho. not into religious holidays.
Yess and I also do them for my kids. This year there is gonna be two. A baby egg hunt inside and a big kid egg hunt outside 🐣
Yes. My family did egg hunts when I was a kid and we still do it for the kids in the family too.
we didn’t have golden eggs but we do throw some money in some of the eggs
Yeah we did the church egg hunt when we were little! Lotta fun. They didn't do money eggs tho and I had to stop a few years early bc of a fight.
Hahaha I love Easter egg hunts! Never got money. But I was so excited when I got Cadbury creme eggs!!!
