I tried construction for a few days.. was fun... met some cool guys 🍻

every job I have taken (outside of my current one as I went to college for it) started as wanting to learn a new skill. you can get to the top of nearly every field simply by wanting to learn a new skill and if you go in at the lowest entry level spot and you work your way up to the highest point and then switch to a job that has higher points but same work you can get paid to work and free education. no debt.

Job & Fun shouldn’t go together however changing lightbulbs on radio towers sound fun.
$20,000 to change a top bulb & some towers to can make $120,000 easily with multiple bulbs.
I earned less from my old job than I did from collecting rent on my investment properties so working wasn't really necessary but I just felt like my life was losing it's significance cause I was not contributing to society in any way, which was my reason for working the previous job I had before seeking self employment.
I got a temp job in the arts and crafts store over Christmas one year. Unfortunately, it was during covid, and after our 4th lockdown, they had to let me go. But they said they would have kept me on and I could apply again :)
