Is it wrong I hated being a van life kid in the 80's and 90's?

My parents are hippies who decided to live off the grid. they are conspiracy theorists and think society government and education poison your mind.

My dad had a job he could do from anywhere so off we went.

My brothers 32 m and 31 m loved it. I guess it's every kids dream to live in mini rv all the time being unschooled hunting swimming and fishing all the time. I mean I liked some of the places we visited but otherwise it sucked.

I 40 f hated it. My parents had all these adopted animals that aren't supposed to be pets living in there too. My parents were always fighting. my mom was constantly angry at me for not being greatful and ranting at me because I was the oldest and I don't really think she like it either.

There was no bathroom so we peed in bottles and pooped in bags. It smelled awful. We didn't get baths often. I missed school and my friends and my grandma. I had to hide my books and music which was deemed ba.

I have been no contact for years now. i don't regret it. My one brother understands my other brother thinks I owe them an apology? I think they owe us an apology but I don't think we will get one.

You don't need to apologize. They needed to apologize because they were in control, not you.
They lived their life the way they wanted. Neither of them cared about your needs.
Parents are selfish but they make their children believe they are under their debt.
It's your life and you can live the way you want. Avoid arguing with them and don't try to reason with them.
You get along with one sibling, stick to that only.
Consider the rest of them as human waste.

They forgot to give you a balanced life and went to extremes. I think parents who trap their kids in cities and don't take them out into nature are just as bad as those who isolate their kids from society.

Overall, expose your child to as many environments as you can but don't go to extremes. That's why it's their fault.

If they had said that we did what we thought was best for you but we understand that you found it bad our intention was genuine but still if you felt bad then we apologize.
So maybe they could have been forgiven but if they are being stubborn then remove them from your life like you flush your morning shit down the toilet every day

I don’t blame you. Their lifestyle is only great for people that aren’t having children, but I’d personally never allow myself to raise kids in a situation like that, and I would do van life. It’s not kid friendly
