1. Redecorate Your House

Redecorate a room to have a "White Christmas" theme if you're in the Southern Hemisphere. And if you're in the Northern Hemisphere redecorate to have a summer themed room.
2. Get Outside And Surprise Yourself

If you are feeling energetic and are prepared to walk a bit (there are very few buses and trains working on Christmas day) open a map of your town, close your eyes, and point to a place on the map. Walk there, and see what you find there. You could go for a walk (or drive) in the evening and see all the lovely lights that people have put on their homes.
3. Catch Up With The Rest Of The World

Catch up on life with no one to disturb you. When you’ve finished you’ll wake up on 26 December one step ahead of – or in sync with – the rest of the world.
4. Volunteer

If you don’t want to be by yourself, volunteer at a shelter or a soup kitchen on Christmas day and help spread the festive cheer.
5. Photograph Your Neighbourhood

Make use of the empty streets and take photographs. You can even set up the self-timer and walk away because no one will be around to steal your camera.
