Holidays! Covid POSITIVE! How would you quarantine positively?

HOUSEHOLD OF HOLIDAY CHEERS AND COVID!

here's COVID FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! The gift which keeps on giving! I wish you a Merry HOLIDAYS and a happy quarantine!

SO I'M A CAREGIVER FOR A FAMILY MEMBER. Yesterday I noticed he was extremely lethargic incoherent and a nasty cough. His doctor says covid test him.

So began my day of covid testing EVERYONE. his WAS positive as soon as the liquid hit the test. He's 81 years old so straight to the hospital for what they call observation. He's doing as well as he can be with covid.

Now came testing everyone else including myself basically we conclude six positive tests. The littlest one is only five cried - refused to take the nose swab but because she has all the symptoms the doctor said to include her in having covid.

So now the entire household is in quarantine. It's a combination OF very quiet everyone napping or resting to extreme coughing sneezing and then moments of crazy hyper activity when the children get revanchist. The laughter (& coughing) reach hysterical levels.

The attitude in the home since more like we're not going to let covid Bore us or take us down we're making the best of this.

AT ONE POINT THE ENTIRE FAMILY HAD CONJURED IN THE KITCHEN & someone yells lets have a covid snack party

Which turned into a holiday movie evening binge party. The kids put on Home alone 1 the nutcracker & some sort of Mickey mouse holiday special.

Well that was day one we'll definitely going to be taking it easy. The kids will aim to make the best of this. I on the other hand have lot running on my mind because I'm the primary caregiver around here I'm the worrier who keeps the straight face. I'm going to make the best out of it!

I ended my night with my boyfriend reading Charles Dickens to me.

So if you had covid during the holidays how would you make the best of it?

I'd stay home and just get better. Someone always gets sick during the holidays in my family. Prior to COVID it was always someone who had the flu or something lol.

Make some soup and drink Gatorade I won't feel like making a meal, well back in October me and my cousin had Covid and all the symptoms.

I wish all my prayers to you will be answered. I know how you feel when one gets sick, the whole house ends up sick most of the time.

Its the worst when everyone is sick but we are having some play time too

Yeah, I got a 50 + year old Santa Claus lights up with a light bulb my late maternal grandma gave him to me, I got to get a new bulb and I will be lightening him LMAO

Having covid at the holidays would be a major disaster for me. I am the president of my congregation and I lead two major meetings every year in December. I work full time and December is a busy month in my office. I usually have tickets to at least three concerts during the month (Dave Koz jazz Christmas concert, Jacksonvlle Symphony Orchestra, and the Nutcracker this year.) I spend more time with my mother (who is now 91 years old) and I take my girlfriend out to dinner more often. This year, we are also going to the mountains for the week between Christmas and New Years. And we will go out to see the fireworks on New Year's Eve. All of that would grind to a halt if I had covid.

103+ fever 🤒 sucks 😞 thankfully its not during the actual holiday but it has kept me from preparing for it however staying home with the kids has been relaxing though slightly uncomfortable due to being sick.

One blessing and Im greatful for my boyfriend who has checked on me multiple times daily has also been sweet enough to entertain me by reading a Charles Dickens book to me nightly... I would offer to read too but he gets so passionate with the different characters voices... So I leave the reading to him as he seems to get very much into the roles 😊 its endearing.

Everyone around me is dropping like flies again too. They aren’t doing quarantine though. One family caught it in tx two days ago and traveled home yesterday as if it was nothing. So thoughtless.

I'm not vaccinated and refuse to get vaccinated but when I had covid it only felt like a head cold and didn't even know i had it till i had my annual physical which is mandatory to get tested 48 hours prior to appointment and results were positive

I don't think the vaccines work. Im vaccinated.

i gotta be honest here. i hate Christmas, so if i got sick and that is a legitimate excuse to miss out on Christmas, i would totally not mind that. sadly, i'd be so happy.

But as an adult I would think you would be free to make up your own mind to avoid the holiday as it so please you.

Good. However, it loses its potency by being denatured by heating (cooking). I would suggest taking 5 drops as is in water or juice. It's very strong so juice masks the bad taste.
