How to prevent this Secret Santa gift fail?

My friends and I are doing Secret Santa this year. I already bought a gift for the friend I got. Today though, she mentioned her shopping plans and things she’s gonna buy and one thing was the item I already got her! It’s a different brand but the same product, she’s buying the dupe of what I got her lol. I’m kinda freaking out and i don’t know how to prevent her from buying it. And I can’t give her my gift early because it will spoil the entire experience for the rest of our friends. What else can I go other than beg the Universe to be in my favor?😂

The Secret Santa? It’s a form of gift giving that typically involves buying a present for only one person in a specific group. Eg, friends circle, work colleagues and even family. Names are written on paper and folded up and everyone chooses a random piece of paper. Whoever’s name their get is the person they have to buy a Christmas present for. Sometimes the Secret Santa will give small treats , like chocolate to their person on the days leading up to Christmas.

It is! 😊 it’s also doesn’t break the bank, since there’s a usually a price range everyone has to stick to. We then all come together to exchange gifts and enjoy a nice dinner together.

Unfortunately my friend wants to buy herself the thing I already got her. I’m in a tough position lol.
