Have you ever told a child that they're on Santas naughty list?

You better not pout (sorry girls who post on how do I look) you better not cry (sorry society and politics section users) he's making a list and he's checking it twice to see who's naughty or nice so I guess most of you lot are screwed.

But what about the children? Have you ever told them that they're on the naughty list and how long did you keep it up for?

I used to pretend that I had a direct line to report their bad behavior to Santa to get them to behave sometimes. It did work better closer to the holidays. I would pick up my phone and pretend to dial and be on the phone with him. But, the kids got older and my daughter would joke that she knew she'd been good enough during the year to still get some presents even if she didn't do what I asked. Ha ha

My siblings once convinced me I had been so "naughty" that I'd be eaten by their mom. They kept that going for 2 years until mom found out.

I never really did this. I used to tell them that Santa had to cut back this year because the economy was bad. I told them that Democrats were spending too much money. This was during th eClinton administration. As a result they are all Republicans.

When my kids were little, they were often told that Santa might not bring them presents if they were naughty. It worked... most of the time... they were little angels.

I've never had to tell any of my nieces and nephews that. But I remind them that if anybody eats the candy canes off of the tree before Christmas, that they might not receive gifts from Santa. As my mom was upset the one year they did that.

My parents never allowed us to believe in fairy tales. 😆. So they wouldn’t really weaponize their existence against us as children.
