Are you surprised by how New Year's Eve or New Year's Day turned out?

I thought New Years Eve and Day would be a time of goal setting and book reading and kindle discounts and parties and food and exciting life changing lessons.

It seems like it was just another day. I received a few breakthroughs on my book development but I get breakthroughs basically every week or day, nothing earth shattering happened on new years eve or new years day but the day isn't over yet so there is still a possibility of something happening. I know some people go to work on New Year's Eve and day so I'm not here to complain, at the very least, I had the day off.
