Money's been tight as of late, my mom said she couldn't get me anything for Christmas and I completely understood. Fast forward i get a knock on the door and its a package for my mom where she tells me to put it in the closet cause its a gift for her boyfriend. Am I selfish to think its odd she got him a gift and not me

Yeah, and a gift doesn't have to be a lot. I got my mom a $25 gift card for Amazon. com. Cheap, easy, and at least it shows that I was thinking about her. Funnily enough, that gift card was actually probably double what I spent on my dad (he loves scented candles).
