Does it seem to be that there are two natures at work in humanity as a whole, and that both are resident in any given individual? Can such a thing be?

One nature being the aspect of a person which is seemingly automatically regulated, such as visceral processing, and the catching of one's balance. The other being the tendency to relate to the world in such a way as to command one's environment and destiny through voluntary intentional decision making?

The former being the foundation upon which the latter is based, and being dragged along for the ride, but ultimately having final veto power over the latter unless in situation of alignment of the two by absorbed investment in true, lived-out well-wishing for all beings as a whole? How is it with us?

And if so, in this, does synchronization of the central nervous system with the cardiac intrinsic nervous system through breathing peacefully and lovingly in through the area of the heart, and thinking loving thoughts, bring unified harmony to these two natures within an individual and those within similar influence, across the population distributed? Does this amount to the distinction between individuals living according to what is known as the peaceful way, in Japanese, aikido, in which each part antagonistically yields to the other as opposing muscles do in an arm or a leg, contrasted with those individuals living contrarily to such a harmonious intent, instead seeking to actually will harm to anything in opposing position?
