Could you marry someone who you had no physical attraction to but was excellent in every other way (personality, work ethic, respect, intelligence)?

I am in this situation right now. I have been long time friends with a girl I deeply respect and love “as a friend” but the I am just not physically attracted to her. There are actually some financial benefits of getting married that benefit both sides. But it really would be more of a paper marriage and we would just be friends.

I'm traditional. I wouldn't make a mockery of marriage in my personal life. Secondly, I know some dudes who did what you're planning for green cards & at the end of the day the woman eventually freaked out, went hardcore stalker. Oh, and the dudes did have to give her sex even if she was repulsive because she could threaten to leave if they didn't. You want to have a knife to your throat in a hostage situation you set up?

Thirdly, there is no way in hell I would ever even date a woman I don't find physically attractive. Marriage is SEVERAL steps above dating.

Oh, and what would you do if you're in this sham marriage and you run into a woman who would actually be a perfect partner/wife and you want her? You think she's going to be impressed by your sob story for why you married somebody you have zero attraction to? I mean, if she even believed it.

Last thing.. if/when you make real money, and you make more than the wife, what happens when she divorces you? You think the divorce court judge is going to say, "Oh, it was a pretend marriage! You don't have to pay." No, you'd lose 60% of your wealth or more plus ongoing alimony. Bad idea.

Yeah I’ve had all these concerns run through my mind.

I wouldn’t say she’s “repulsive”. She’s not morbidly obese or anything. This is going to sound horrible but I just don’t like her facial features. But that’s something she has absolutely zero control over.

Yes she is a foreigner. But she has much better attitude and work ethic than 95% of the American bitches I’m used to dealing with.

95% of women are like terminator robots. They may look different... but they have the same basic programming. They will terminate (take whatever from you) if you act weak/stupid. It's on YOU to make the decisions that are best for yourself and a sham marriage isn't it.

TBH I often wonder if I will be a bachelor to my grave. I keep getting told that’s better than a broken marriage. In theory it is I guess. But being a perpetual single man…just I dunno.
