I know guys who also buy into the lie you have to look like Tyra Banks and be rich like Melinda Gates to find a husband. The simple answer is, you need to be nice, responsible, honest and loyal. There are plenty of unattractive minimum wage girls who practice that and have long term marriages. And plenty of disloyal and dishonest millionaires who can’t find a guy with morals and commitment value even if they work out every single week.

I think we live in a very media-centric time. Before the internet people aspired to be doctor's and lawyers... OK a few wanted to be famous athletes.😂 But the point is in general people were more grounded in reality. Since the internet people aspire to YouTube stars and social media influencers. Nothing that produces anything of any real SUBSTANCE. I think many people live life today indulging one fantasy after the next only coming back to reality when the absolutely MUST. I think what you see in society is a result of that. If you want to blame Hollywood, ok. But I think the blame falls squarely on society itself. Hollywood is just trying to make money.

I think people are more realistic and informed (weather that is bad or good). But the reward system are a lot more brutal now. Too many people, too many are easily replaced. Too many comparison to the grass is greener to innocent eyes and by comparision you just can't win.

Of course they are, they make it out to be glamorous and drama filled. As if to say, if it's not, your life is boring and you're with the wrong person. When, in reality, the opposite is true.

From a males perspective - males don't care about a girls status, or a girls family/own money at all. It makes zero difference to us. As a male I already have my own money so whether the female brings money to the table doesn't impact my lifestyle one bit. I find mostly females tend to care a lot about a guys wallet and status when thinking about if they want to put him in the friend bin, or the sex bin in their minds. Females tend to care a great deal about a guys ability to protect/fight, gain access to high resources to keep the offspring fed, and status to know that if shit hits the fan in society he will have access to privileged social opportunities to be able to whether crisis and conflict successfully/well. Looks on a man are also important to females as handsome looks mean health, and allow for others in society to find that male more trusting, caring, and attractive in gaining favourable treatment from others more than those whom are ugly/out of shape would have access too.

Males are shallow when it comes to looks though - far more than females are. This is because as a male I need to know with certainty that if I commit a large amt of resources to a girl through dates and exclusivity of a relationship - that she will have a fairly decent chance of siring me heathy, high quality babes. And the less fertile she is, and less healthy/more obese a girl is - they more likely the babies will be weaker - or the less babies it would be possible to have all things being equal.

So always be thinking about what is attractive to members of the other gender you like - what may they want in a mate - and is it most aligned to what you have/bring to the table. And if some is not - take yourself in for a tune up if you want to be more successful over time with others.

It is true. Whether I married a refugee or a Ceo, it is not what is important to me. I will say, as men try to serve a purpose byvnature, I wouod more inclined to marry a refugee. A ceo is already married to a career that has no room for a husband who is not also a ceo or something equivalent. Its classism.

@Billybob46 it would more be motivated by biological urgies - but protection can mitgate those now. But we as primate mammels of both genders are still subconsiously incluned to seek that out to a certain extent I feel. But logically we can chose to avoid it if we want to or chose to care about something more / less if we chose. Some guys may be gold. diggers when seeking a rich female for personal reasosn but I'd say they are few and far between. But they may feel lile. its counter to their actual urgies - lile they are putting on an act ai feel. Kind of like playmates who sleep with hugh hefner in his 90s - they definitely are likely not attracted to him biologically but due so anyway feeling like work. to seek out model opportunities.

Does a princess have an education or 9 to 5 job? No. All a princess does is fit in a dress. That is all that is ever ask of her.

Guys however everything and kitchen sink is being asked and if any part of it fails, your now a flawed product.

Not just girls, but boys too. Hollywood definitely glorifies marriage. I mean, there are some benefits such as lower tax, but getting married won't solve all your problems and there isn't just a "happily ever after".
