My parents have no issue at all with the fact that both their children have partners from different nationalities.

My grandmother used to like it better when they were from "our side" in WW2 (Germany/Axis Powers) which by coincidence they were.

No, not at all. I used to think they would only want us kids to marry someone from our community not just our race but turns out they became very broad minded and accepting/welcoming over the last decade or more. They would just he happy that O I met someone who makes me happy and will be stay with me through thick and thin all my life.

If they have an issue with who I want to marry then that’s going to make me want to that person even more. I’d already many other reasons why I’d marry that person so I don’t mind another reason. Whoever has an issue with who I’m going to marry would just infuriate me
