That's kinda general. What is Asian and white anyways? It's really general continent associations I guess... asia and Europe? Do people from this contenent go well with those from another continent... they can!

The traditional old world values are of high value these days. I'm married to an Asian, but if she was a fruit, she'd be a bannana... yellow outside, white inside... quite americanized. She has added a lot of spice to my life I didn't know existed, foods, engagement in life, family, adventures into cultures. Most especially, she's low stress, decisive, high energy, and fun. That works well for me. She's really good at engaging with others which has led to us making new friends in other country. Foods... she introduced me to quite a bit that I now enjoy and I make some wonderful pasta she loves, and other things as well.

Culturally, there are differences in peoples. Values, how things work in society and family can be different, how emotions are shared, greetings, etc. I think that's true even within the same continent. I find it works well. I appreciate my native culture... crazy Italians. But crazy chinese ain't half bad. And I never thought I'd marry a chinese... were none around when I was growing up. Things change.

So, it can work really well, is working well for us. We have several mixed couples in our family... helloooo... chinese invasion people...:) Several European and one mixed black. All of the chinese girls in the family married non chinese guys. go figure...

Funny... mix Asian and "white" ya kinda get Italian or Japanese. Should see her kids... Mixed kids are fascinating.

What are you really asking? Are you asking a racially-motivated question? As in, what do you all think of an Asian woman and a White man getting married, aka, what are your thoughts on interracial relationships?

Yup. I was wondering if it bothered anyone or thought of it as weird. I know it's a common pairing, but for a few years now, I've been seeing it less and less which is weird. I am Asian and I would hope that if I fell in love with a white man, he would not refuse to marry me nor date me just because of my race! That's all I was saying. Especially if our relationship got serious enough to the point of marriage!

It's a potential trouble with two cultures (and life styles) not fully matching, and expectations possibly not met.

There are stereotypes involved as well.

One of the stereotypes is: ''Asian'' - that continent is huge, and diverse :D

I further think: if one is a loser on this side of the planet, then he/she will be a loser on the other side as well. ... and the same can be said about 'winners' :)

No - I didn't even look closer at the pictures.
With 'losers' I mean those people who don't bother about the other one's background/culture, and just follow superficial stereotype ideas. (''Yellow fever'' and ''white fever''). And Asian women doing the same are losers as well in my eyes.
Now as for culture: the question was about ''white'' men... Americans and Europeans look quite alike. But I would not say that the cultures are the same; we merely have common roots, but evolution took us in slightly different directions. Myself, I feel mildly offended when someone assumes that I'm ''American''.
If your two sample persons were from the same country - I'd expect less of the ''trouble'' I mentioned. But there's still a family in the background - parents and such - that might throw in a few surprises.

I see what you mean, but please note though that Americans and Europeans don't really look alike. America (namely the U. S.) is a diverse pool of people that includes Asians, Indians, Blacks, Persians and other Middle Easterns, Jews, etc etc. The one racial group that IS growing at an enormous rate would be Mexicans and other HIspanic and Latin people from Middle/Central America!.. They immigrated and took some jobs from the U. S. citizens during the 80's through today! I don't hate them though because I also have a Spanish last name (being Asian Filipina) but also they're here to stay so might as well intermingle with them and be comfy/comfortable talking with them!

Plus, a lot of whites who wanted to conform to diversity welcomed (both ILLEGAL as well as LEGAL) immigration with open arms lol. Saw a lot of that growing up!

But yea, America (the U. S.) and it's culture is really a mix of a lot of races, not just Europeans. In fact, there's been several studies that said that Europeans or those with Caucasian/White ancestry is going to soon be the minority because of all the immigration that's happend during the last past decades since the 70's and beyond. I also think it' ballooned during the beginning of the new Century (I saw it happen as I came of age). Anyway yeah, I don't know if it's really going to become a reality (That Europeans will be the new minority in the U. S. in just a few decades), but I'd be curious to be alive for it!

.. But my point is American culture isn't exclusive to just being white. It's a salad mix/melting pot of a vast array of people! 🙂

Natality is low in developed countries and those are the ones that are taking refugees to "sustain" their economy (even though inmigration won't solve that). Europe is no exception, after all we are conveniently close to Africa...
