If men see marriage as hell, why do they get married?

Marriage in and of itself is not hell. A good, healthy marriage is beneficial to both the man and the woman (and especially the children).

The problem is that today's marriage has become a minefield for men because so many women weaponize it against them. Today's men grew up in a world where only half of marriages last, women file 80% of divorces, and men get screwed in divorce and child custody by a biased legal system that women are more than willing to take full advantage of.

So to answer your question, men don't see marriage as hell; they see divorce as hell. There are men who are willing to roll the dice and take a chance believing they are marrying one of the good women who "would never do that" to him. But women change, or are not who they seem to be.

Because they can use the woman for cooking, cleaning, childbearing, etc. Women are tools to men so even if it's comes with some nagging men are willing to put up with it to have a useful woman around.

Most men only view marriage as hell when it's with the wrong woman. Sometimes men don't know they are with the wrong woman till after marriage, same way some woman don't know they are with the wrong man till after marriage. I've heard stories of men/women who treat their partner real good, then after getting married, start treating them like crap.

So true, and some times relationships aren't hell till after marriage, and it goes both ways. Heard of stories where men/women are good to there during dating, than after marriage treat them like crap with some going far as being abusive.
