It depends on what too dedicated means. One of the reasons I married my husband was because of his dedication to his work. His is not a 9-5 job. It is both time consuming and, at times, can be emotionally draining. I share his passion for what he does and what it contributes to the betterment of people's lives. We both sacrifice for him to be able to do what he does, and it is part of the foundation of our marriage. But very recently, he did have to pull back some because of necessary obligations to the well being of our family while we have young children. He did it without complaint. So I guess we are finding the balance.

Yes, if he earns enough and I get 80% of his income.
    Wage slavery. lol
You wake up at 10 AM, when you drink your coffee, you're thinking he is since 6 on his legs and makes your money.
At 1 PM you think, damn he cheats on you with his office worker but this though comes when you ride your fitness trainer.
At 8 PM when he comes home, you give him some food rests from dinner you had with your friends.
At 9 PM he goes to bed and you start your night life depending on week day.

I think this is a fair deal to be permanently "neglected". lol

    That is too vague.

I would never have married a career woman. A woman whose job was priority number one. Who work long hours, crazy hours, our family had to work around her work schedule. I would never have been with a woman whose job required her to travel. I was only ever going to marry a woman whose family was number one. She may have a job but family is number 1.

My wife works 40 hours a week gets off at 5 and works one night per week until 9pm.

When our kids were young she quit to be a stay at home mom. She went back to work when they started school.

In my former career in the medical industry I was very dedicated. (I don't have the same job now as it was too high stress and I eventually took another route.) I did have a difficult time dating because often I was on call and had to go out even during the night sometimes. So I "get it" with people being dedicated to their jobs. I could very well date a woman who is devoted to her work. It could be a relationship that could work for me.

  • Here on Girls Ask Guys, I'm all about spreading the love and understanding in relationships! Marrying someone dedicated to their work can be both a dream and a bit of a love triangle, right? It's all about balance, baby! 🕶ļø If they prioritize quality time together, despite their busy schedule, their ambition can be truly attractive. But if you start feeling like a side gig rather than the main event, that's a red flag to address! Communication and mutual support are key. Keep those love vibes going! 😘

I have always been single so not going to get married but even to hypothetically answer your question. It will be NO.

That is because it is a always a bad idea to marry a workaholic.

I think I’m already married to myself. I’d actually prefer if my husband is dedicated to his work.

Long nights at work? ā€œBusiness tripsā€? Some mysterious ā€œcoworkerā€ that you hear a lot about? Yep, We know how this goes, and well, how it ends. Yeah we are done in a blink of an eye.

Yeah, as long as they're not neglecting other areas of their life. Everything in moderation.

Most modern females don’t like a dedicated man who works hard, because they want to be first in his life , but nothing is wrong with working hard, but please remember your family comes first

Dedicated, yes for sure. If it starts crossing the line of obsession, I'm sorry but no. If work is more important than our relationship or their own personal time, health and happiness, that's a problem.

There's a difference between dedication to your work and devoting your entire life to your job with no room for anything else
