Does not giving high amount of dowry makes me a bad person?

So when I used to live in Bangladesh a girl insulted me because I said I won't be able to give her dowry during marriage proposal which is equal to 3 years of my income which was really unbearable to me. I just had a crush on her so I proposed her as inthis country marriage proposal seen as a good thing. But she insulted me saying I am not manly enough to cover the expense of a girl so I should not marry. After all of these things I left islam as I dont see it is beneficial for my spiritual health. Now as I am in west I like some girl here so as I am seeing people date here so I decides I will date some girl and than have relationship with her and love her but without giving any kind of dowry. Will they love me without high amount of dowry and eventually marry me? I just want a girlfriend and in future a wife with whom I live with.. ... I might be not that much rich But I will really love her with my income which I have...

LOL, the concept of a dowry is not really a thing in most western countries. But yeah, we do define a person's worth or value by their wealth in many cases. So the same thinking is going on in the background. In truth, wealth can be a horrible indicator of a person's value. Especially when it's inherited wealth. Focus on being a good person.

In islam a male has to pay high sum of money to female and give some inheritence to woman in order to marry her... and she does not need to spend money on household which makes man the only breadwinner for family meanwhile I was trying to get a girl without dowry and to make her fall in love with me...
