Is marriage overrated?

Marriage as a bit of paper is overated yes. Animals don't need a ceremony or bit of paper to say "hey let's live together, support eachother and raise offspring as best we can".

Love doesn't need marriage. Being faithful or monogamous is not dependent on a piece of paper. Loving someone "until death do us part" doesn't require a contract. Not even God - in any religion - require a contract.

But if you see marriage as a celebration, as a way to show joy and happiness and just want to then it's also something beautiful and lovely to do with your partner too.
